The Life of a Sensor

In the presentation we begin with a fictional story to help students understand the basics of how sensors are made. We then explain in further detail the actual process used to make the sensors and what the data tells us about its surroundings. The presentation is followed up with an activity that allows the students to go through the deployment process themselves. Using python and raspberry pis, students program our Huli Wai sensors to be deployed in 3 extreme environments. They then use the graphs to determine the order in which their sensor traveled.
