Kira Webster

Kira is a fifth year undergrad student pursuing a biology major and geography minor. She will graduate spring 2019, after which she hopes to pursue her masters. Her main interests are effects of climate change, such as sea level rise. Through SMART Ala Wai, she worked on testing a sensor that measures pressure and therefore the water level fluctuation. The current project she is working on for SMART Ala Wai is mapping the bathymetry of the canal and sampling designated sites in partnership with Solomon Chen to model vertical profiles of the canal for certain factors of interest, such as pH, temperature gradient, oxygen, and conductivity.
