Huli Wai Data Loggers (Water Pressure, Temperature, Light [RGB, White])
With the help of engineers on our team such as Thomas and Peyton, the SMART team has produced compact, low cost, and durable sensors capable of monitoring temperature, light, and water pressure. The sensors are 3D printed in our lab and are powered with AA batteries, allowing them to be deployed for up to 2 months at a time. Post retrieval, all data is uploaded to this website and made accessible to the public.
When not in the field, these same sensors are used for our outreach education program. Students use python to program the sensors to be “deployed” and then guess the order of where the sensors traveled based on the graphs retrieved.
